About UsAgainstAlzheimer’s (UsA2) (https://www.usagainstalzheimers.org/
UsAgainstAlzheimer’s, a 501(c)(3) organization, is engaged in a relentless pursuit to end Alzheimer’s, the sixth leading killer in America. Our work centers on prevention, early detection and diagnosis, and access to treatments regardless of gender, race, or ethnicity. To achieve our mission, we give voice to patients and caregivers while partnering with government, scientists, the private sector, and allied organizations—the people who put the “Us” in UsAgainstAlzheimer’s.

About the Role of the Research Associate
The Research Associate is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of patient-centered research at UsA2, specifically two key initiatives:

  1. AD PACE (Alzheimer's Disease Patient and Caregiver Engagement), a patient and caregiver-led collaboration of industry, academics, government agencies and advocates building a persistent platform specifically designed to provide systematic, robust patient and caregiver data to inform clinical research and care. AD PACE’s insights on patient preferences for treatment, outcome measurement, and other questions are designed to inform researchers and drug developers, healthcare payers, policymakers, and regulatory agencies.
  2. A-LIST®, an online community of people living with cognitive impairment and care partners. A-LIST members can opt-in to answer submitted questions and are accessible for recruiting to research surveys on their attitudes, experiences, preferences, and knowledge related to living with AD, caring for AD, treating AD, and preventing AD. Insights from these studies are published in medical journals, shared with FDA and other regulatory organizations to help inform decision-making, serve as a basis for provider education, and in other ways inform government, policy, the medical and research industries, and society about what matters most to the Alzheimer’s community.

Working under the Chief Scientist, AD PACE, the Research Associate will devote approximately 80% of their time to AD PACE and 20% to A-List. Other than when attending meetings, this is a fully remote position.
