Reaching one million visitors is more than a milestone for MyBrainGuide. It is proof that trusted, accessible information can make a real difference in people’s lives.
Behind every visit is a person seeking answers about brain health. Someone noticing changes. Someone caring for a loved one. Someone taking a first or next step during a moment of uncertainty. We’re honored to have supported one million people, families, concerned individuals -- and counting -- who turned to BrainGuide for answers.
Since its launch in 2021, BrainGuide has supported people in learning about brain health, recognizing when changes may matter, and feeling empowered to talk with their health care providers. For many, that initial step can feel overwhelming. By offering clear, evidence-based tools and resources, BrainGuide has helped turn concern into action.
To date, an estimated 500,000 people have completed the memory questionnaire, with BrainGuide surpassing one million total visits from individuals across all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
This milestone comes at an important time as progress in Alzheimer’s disease research and care continues. When BrainGuide first launched, there were no approved treatments that targeted Alzheimer’s. Today, there are two FDA-approved disease-modifying treatments and two blood-based biomarkers for early detection, signaling meaningful momentum after decades of research. Hundreds of clinical trials are underway worldwide, exploring new therapies, prevention strategies, and ways to improve care. Advances in detection are also reshaping the landscape, including the availability of an approved blood test that can help identify biological signs of Alzheimer’s earlier, when intervention and planning can make the greatest difference.
Early detection is especially critical for communities at higher risk. Women, Black/African American communities, and Hispanic/Latino populations face a disproportionate burden of Alzheimer’s disease, while historically experiencing barriers to information, diagnosis, and research participation.
BrainGuide has prioritized reaching these communities through targeted outreach, including partnerships with faith-based organizations and culturally relevant, in-language outreach campaigns for Hispanic audiences. These efforts reflect our commitment to equity and ensuring that everyone has access to trusted brain health resources.
As science evolves, so does BrainGuide. One recent innovation is a speech-based biomarker tool that analyzes how someone speaks to help spot possible cognitive changes, making new research more accessible to everyone. We also continue to highlight research like the Lancet Commission findings on modifiable risk factors, showing that everyday lifestyle and health choices may help delay symptoms or reduce the risk of dementia – over time.
Alzheimer’s disease remains devastating, but progress is real. One million visitors later, BrainGuide stands as a credible source for people seeking answers. As we look toward the next million, you can trust that our focus will remain on impact, helping people learn, take action, talk with their health care providers, and move forward with both hope and guidance.
