UsAgainstAlzheimer's and CaringKind Collaborate to Offer Advocacy Opportunities for 100 Women of Impact
Collaboration gives 100 Women of Impact the option to engage in federal Alzheimer’s and dementia advocacy through UsAgainstAlzheimer’s.
Washington, D.C. (August 13, 2026) – UsAgainstAlzheimer’s today announced a new collaboration with CaringKind to expand opportunities for women participating in CaringKind’s 100 Women of Impact to engage in federal advocacy on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
100 Women of Impact is a national movement of women leading the future of brain health and well-being. Women of Impact who choose to opt in will receive advocacy updates, educational resources, and opportunities from UsAgainstAlzheimer’s to engage with federal policymakers on issues affecting people living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, care partners, families, researchers, clinicians, and communities nationwide.
Women are disproportionately affected by Alzheimer’s disease, accounting for nearly two-thirds of Americans living with the disease and the majority of caregivers. By connecting UsAgainstAlzheimer’s robust advocacy efforts with CaringKind’s network of women’s health advocates, the collaboration will help ensure that women’s lived experiences—as patients, care partners, professionals, and community leaders—are reflected in federal policy discussions.
“As policymakers make decisions that will shape the future of Alzheimer’s research, early detection, care, and treatment, it is essential that they hear directly from the people and communities most affected,” said George Vradenburg, Co-Founder and Chairman at UsAgainstAlzheimer’s. “We’re proud to collaborate with CaringKind to help 100 Women of Impact bring their lived experiences, professional expertise, and community perspectives to conversations in Washington, D.C. When advocates speak with a united voice, they help inform smarter, more impactful policies that improve lives.”
- Women who opt in will have access to advocacy opportunities focused on:
- Increasing federal investment in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias research;
- Expanding access to early diagnosis, including emerging blood-based biomarker testing;
- Improving access to quality, affordable care and treatment;
- Strengthening support and resources for care partners; and
- Ensuring national policies reflect the real-world experiences of people and families impacted by dementia.
“We are incredibly excited to collaborate with UsAgainstAlzheimer’s through CaringKind’s 100 Women of Impact. This collaboration brings together two organizations that share an urgency to change the future of Alzheimer’s and dementia through greater awareness, earlier detection, stronger support, advocacy, and action. Women have an extraordinary ability to influence their families, communities, workplaces, and policymakers, and 100 Women of Impact is about activating that leadership and collective influence to advance brain health and well-being,” said Eleonora Tornatore-Mikesh, President and CEO at CaringKind. “Together, we can amplify women’s voices, help break down stigma, advance brain health, and create meaningful opportunities for women who choose to advocate for policies that better serve people living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, care partners, and families across the country.”
