For the first time ever, the US government has adopted a national strategic plan to prevent and effectively treat Alzheimer’s disease by 2025. Dr. Ron Petersen, Chairman of the National Alzheimer’s Advisory Council on Research, Care and Services and Director of the Mayo Clinic’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center summarized what is in the National Plan and the first steps in its implementation.
