On April 12 th , I was very excited to participate in a summit focused on improving medical outcomes for veterans through more efficient clinical trials. This summit was put on by the National Association of Veterans’ Research and Education Foundation (NAVREF) and hosted at Deloitte in Arlington, Virginia. June is PTSD Awareness Month . The rapidly surging number of Americans with Alzheimer’s disease includes a growing number of military veterans, who may be at increased risk for dementia as a consequence of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and brain injuries suffered in service .
