Pittsburgh native, certified Project Manager Professional (PMP) and Certified Meeting Planner Professional (CMP), Karen Pazos fell in love with events while working in issue-based advocacy. She loved seeing it all come together and seeing the profound effect events had on people. “With conventional, communications-based public relations, you get ‘metrics,’” she explains. “But with an event, you can see it happen. You watch people enjoy it and talk about it for months after. People come in for the experience. At the end of the day, that’s what people remember.”
Karen has had several family members, including her grandmother, taken by Alzheimer’s and Dementia and is honored to help be part of the UsAgainstAlzheimer’s team.

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
