Mary O’Connor has held numerous leadership positions in the public domain. Most recently, Mary was the Director of Outreach at the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress in Washington, DC. Her previous positions included serving as President of ARCS (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists) Foundation, a national organization of over 1600 women who fund U.S. citizen scholars in the fields of science, engineering and medical research. Mary’s philanthropic work has included spearheading the fundraising campaign for a new 100 bed Alzheimer’s Assisted Living Facility at Presbyterian Village, outside of Atlanta. She also has supported fundraising efforts for the Foundation for Neurologic Diseases at Harvard University. Mary’s husband Dan was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at age 56 and died ten years later.
