Dr. Jill Goldstein is a clinical neuroscientist, internationally-recognized expert on sex differences in the brain and the implications for understanding sex differences in neuropsychiatric disorders, including disorders of brain aging. Her program of research (Clinical Neuroscience Laboratory of Sex Differences in the Brain) consists of investigators integrating brain imaging with psychophysiology, neuroendocrinology, genetics, inflammatory factors, and collaborative efforts with animal investigators studying genes, hormones, and the brain. She is currently investigating why women are at significantly higher risk for memory decline and Alzheimer’s Disease postmenopause than men. Dr. Goldstein is also a leader in training the next generation of women and men in women’s health and sex differences in medicine.
