Helen Matheny is Director of the Alzheimer’s Disease Outreach Program at Blanchett Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute. The aim of the program is to provide physicians with training and tools to improve screening, diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Prior to joining the Institute, Helen helped to establish and served as the Chief Executive Officer of the West Virginia Medical Foundation, the educational and charitable organization of the West Virginia State Medical Association. Previously, Helen served as Executive Director of the Partnership for a Healthy West Virginia and as Director of the Center for Electronic Health Best Practices. Helen was appointed by Governor Joe Manchin III to serve on the West Virginia Healthy Lifestyle Coalition and to serve as a Commissioner for the Commission on Community and National Service.Helen is a member of the West Virginia Cardiovascular Health Advisory Board, the West Virginia Health Improvement Institute Coordinating Committee, and the West Virginia Oral Health Partnership Advisory Committee.
