Nearly 36 million people worldwide are living with dementia today. This number will nearly double every 20 years, reaching 65.7 million in 2030 and a staggering 115.4 million in 2050.35
As Alzheimer’s takes more victims, costs to our world’s health care systems continue to mount. It’s been estimated that the worldwide costs of dementia in 2005 was US$315 billion.36
